Maryland Addiction Recovery Center (MARC) is a family-owned and operated organization dedicated to steadfast healing and quality of life outcomes for those suffering from addiction and mental health issues. Based on years of experience and compassionate care, we know for certain that a comprehensive long-term treatment model is where people in recovery learn to thrive.
The science reveals that long-term treatment and practical, hands-on support result in enhanced life skills, improved relationships, stability, consistent employment, elevated personal accountability, and stronger mental health.[1] Addiction is a chronic illness, and like any other chronic medical illness, it requires long-term care, community support, and lifestyle changes, which are unique to the long-term care model.
Our community-integration treatment center is invested in helping you actively live in your recovery. The transition back to daily life and responsibilities is no longer a future challenge; it’s the successful lifestyle you learn to live right now while in treatment and at our supportive sober living community.
MARC is the final treatment option you or your loved one will ever need because “life after treatment” is already happening within our community-based addiction treatment program. Come and restore your life; build recovery momentum; learn to thrive. Live up to your highest potential and create a high quality of life.
The most recently available data reveals that over 40 million people in the United States had a substance use disorder, and over 100,000 people died of drug overdose, but only 6.5% of people received treatment.[2] These numbers can change, and it starts here. No matter where your journey begins, we’re here to help you see it through to a positive outcome.
Substance Use Disorder (SUD)
Substance use hinders personal growth and limits your potential. There’s so much more to life waiting for you to arrive and claim it. If you or a loved one are struggling with any of the following, MARC can help.
Mental Health Conditions
Mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders can wreak havoc on recovery. By restoring the balance from within, you can experience a healthy, hopeful, and inspiring life.
We prioritize the well-being, growth, and healing of everyone who comes to MARC for care. Over a five-year period, the MARC team conducted surveys of alumni and their families to better understand how they view MARC and the services we provide. The results demonstrate our commitment to exceptional care and collaboration.
Let us help you or your loved one find healing from substance use disorder and mental health conditions today.

Kind Words From Our Alumni Community
I am very fortunate and grateful I was able to be a patient at MARC for 9 months. It was a challenging program but it has helped me tremendously find footing in my early recovery. I have had multiple bouts of sobriety in the past but relapsed, I now feel very confident moving forward after experiencing the therapy I received at MARC. I would recommend this treatment facility to anybody who is willing to step outside of their comfort zone or has a window of willingness to change. It’s not an easy program to complete and I was challenged periodically but the professionals that I encountered pushed me to do the work on myself that was necessary. My family is just as grateful and that is a blessing.

Without MARC, I would not have much of a life right now. Yes, this place is an addiction treatment center, and surely does intensive therapy for addiction and mental illness. But the residence/community living treatment program also teaches you invaluable life skills such as cleanliness, organization, work ethic, budgeting, communication, and interpersonal skills. Though some of these times for me were extremely difficult, and I hated being in treatment some of the time, I’m grateful to MARC for giving me a shot at an actual life. They don’t do the work for you, but they push you, and it’s up to you if you use the guidance/push to actually move forward.

I cannot recommend MARC enough. From the moment I arrived, I knew I was in the right place. The staff is incredibly caring and dedicated to helping patients overcome addiction. The treatment programs are top-notch and tailored to meet each individual's needs. The facility itself is clean, comfortable, and conducive to healing. I am grateful for the time I spent here and will forever be in debt to the staff for saving my life. If you or a loved one is struggling with addiction, this is the place to go. Five stars!

Maryland addiction recovery center absolutely saved my life. Multiple times. I have been through several rehab facilities, and MARC was the only treatment center that showed a genuine care for my well-being. They continued to follow up with me afterwards, and 5 years after going through their program, they are still reaching out and extending their hand. I would highly recommend anyone to go through any of their programs.

Marc’s therapeutic approach, mixed with AA/NA fellowships has saved my life ten times over. I came to Marc broken and scared. I had no idea how to live without the use of substances. Marc gives you the resources, and a community of people that show you, you can live a life beyond your wildest dreams. They offer a family program that allows you to improve on family dynamics, individual therapy, group therapy, rides to meetings, and a plethora of other services. It’s also important to note that even after completing Marc they still support me and my family. They genuinely care about their patients and I am forever grateful for the impact Marc continues to have on my life.

✦ Levels of Care ✦
Accredited Treatment Services
Our mental health and drug rehab Maryland families trust is a fully integrated model that offers long-term treatment and support across multiple levels of care. While each phase of treatment has unique elements, they all work cohesively together as one comprehensive recovery solution.
All of our levels of care offer the opportunity to participate in structured sober living that fully immerses you or a loved one in the healing and community that is our signature lifestyle recovery.
Extended Care Program (EC)
This level of care is equivalent to a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) but with a structured living component. This is a full-time, hands-on level of care that blends comprehensive treatment and sober living to help you build out the coping and life skills and support systems you need to not just recover from substance use and mental health disorders but to live a fulfilled and successful life.
We offer two treatment windows for our IOP program: daytime and evening. Depending on individual needs, these windows range from 3 to 5 days a week, during which patients will participate in group therapy, individual therapy, psychiatric treatment, family sessions, and case management services.
As independence and autonomy increases, intensive treatment can decrease. You still have access to the same quality, evidence-based care and sober living support at the OP level of care, but your daily attendance may no longer be necessary. Here, you are living in recovery and remaining connected to high-value outpatient treatment and support.
At MARC, all of our treatment programs are designed to intersect with a sober living component if a patient is in need of structured living. Our sober living spaces or recovery homes, separate from the extended care campus, are available for patients in outpatient PHP, IOP, or OP treatment who will benefit from oversight, accountability, and recovery community engagement. Amenities include some single rooms, large flatscreen TVs, WiFi, fun shared spaces, and a full gym.
Alcohol and drug addiction affects more than just the patient. Close family members and trusted friends are also impacted by the devastation of substance use disorders. Part of our integrated treatment model is family programming and participation. It’s an opportunity for all to heal and learn new, healthy ways to navigate recovery.
The community component of our treatment program is deeply rooted in peer support, accountability, and encouragement toward sustainable recovery. Continual involvement in alumni and aftercare community activities will make it easier to maintain sobriety and continue elevating the trajectory of your life.
We welcome you and your loved ones to the MARC addiction treatment center and recovery community. We’re eager to be the critical link between you and a fulfilled and successful life free of harmful substances and lifestyle patterns. After a prescreen assessment, we’ll collect vital clinical information, verify insurance coverage and healthcare benefits, discuss payment information, and schedule an intake date.
After all the documentation is complete, we’ll walk you through a comprehensive assessment and evaluation to determine the appropriate level of care. Treatment begins as soon as possible and includes a weekly group schedule, weekly individual therapy sessions, psychiatry sessions, and family sessions.
Our signature reintegration process begins immediately by helping you develop all the skills and tools needed to continue in sobriety and restore balance from the inside out. From vocational support and skill building to alumni support and educational guidance, we’re here to help you succeed in all areas of life.
MARC accepts insurance as an in-network provider for Kaiser Permanente and is also an out-of-network provider for all other major commercial insurance providers. We’re happy to accept private payment options and work out a sustainable plan for you and your loved ones. Verify your insurance plan to determine what it will cover and calculate potential expenses.
All of our treatment programs incorporate many mental wellness and behavioral health services to address the root causes of alcohol and substance use disorders and dual diagnosis concerns. Research suggests that individualized, evidence-based treatment is important as it helps address unique patient concerns, improves engagement, and elevates commitment.[3] Every intervention we employ is designed and proven to accomplish this for every patient and constantly cultivate relapse prevention skills.
Experience The Last Treatment Program You’ll Ever Need
