Maryland Addiction Recovery Center, the leader in addiction and dual diagnosis treatment in the Mid-Atlantic area, has recently received the nation’s highest accreditation and certification from The Joint Commission (JCAHO).

An independent, not-for-profit organization, The Joint Commission accredits and certifies nearly 21,000 health care organizations and programs in the United States. Joint Commission accreditation and certification is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to meeting certain performance standards.

New Maryland state regulations requires that all substance abuse programs be nationally accredited by 2018. Receiving JCAHO accreditation ensures that MARC will not only be in complete compliance with state mandates, but will continue to operate at the highest standards set forth by both the state of Maryland as well as national standards of care.

“We are extremely proud of our staff for this honor,” said Zach Snitzer, Co-Founder and Director of Business Development for Maryland Addiction Recovery Center. “The process of receiving accreditation from the Joint Commission supports our mission to provide the highest quality of treatment, but also that we as an organization will continue to strive to improve our patient care and safety through objective evaluation. It is very important for us to guarantee to the public and our clients that they will receive the very best quality of substance use disorder treatment in the country.”
