Sam Bierman is the Executive Director of the Maryland Addiction Recovery Center. After obtaining his BS in Business Management, Sam started in the field as a Counselor Assistant at Caron Renaissance in Boca  Raton, Florida.

Over time, he worked his way up to Director of Operations for Caron Ocean Drive, which focused on serving executive clientele. As Executive Director of MARC, he is responsible for overseeing the entire clinical and administrative operations of the organization.

The essence of Sam’s clinical philosophies is to develop a strong therapeutic alliance between the clinician and client and to treat addiction as a family disease. His entrepreneurial spirit has always guided him toward a personal mission of opening a new treatment center that reenvisioned the treatment experience.

Sam desired that this new location be somewhere he could put his life and professional experience to good use for the benefit of families and communities. The premise of that treatment center was always to implement a clinically driven philosophy where the client’s best interest is always the top priority and community support is built in. Maryland Addiction Recovery Center has become that vision realized.

Our Editorial Guidelines

Part of the journey from substance use disorder into recovery is education. At MARC, we believe the best way to serve our addiction and recovery community is to create and elevate content, resources, curriculum, and other educational materials according to an established editorial standard.

Our aim is to activate and restore hope by sharing current, helpful, accurate, and practical data that applies to our patients and their loved ones.
