Baltimore’s Jewish Times magazine’s annual Best of Jewish Baltimore recently released the winners and runners-up in dozens of categories. The recognized winners and runners-up will be presented in the Jewish Times across two issues.

In the category of “Best Mental Health Practitioner”, Maryland Addiction Recovery Center was recognized as a runner-up, alongside local Baltimore psychiatrist Dr. Hinda Dubin. Maryland Addiction Recovery Center offers treatment for those suffering from addiction, substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorders through two distinct programs: A long-term extended care program (MARC’s Community Living Treatment program) as well as comprehensive intensive outpatient (IOP) programs offered in the daytime and evening to local Baltimore residents and those living throughout Maryland. Most intensive outpatient (IOP) patients that receive treatment at MARC live in Baltimore County, Baltimore City, Howard County, Carroll County, Harford County, Anne Arundel County, although some commute for services from as far away as Montgomery County and Washington, D.C.

MARC, Dr. Dubin, and all the winners and runners-up for the Baltimore’s Jewish Times Best of Baltimore 2020 Reader’s Choice awards are chosen by readers of the Baltimore Jewish Times. Those recognized are chosen from submissions by readers. While there are winners chosen in the areas of medical and healthcare, other categories include general businesses, schools, and education, services, as well as community organizations.

“We are honored to have been chosen and recognized by Baltimore Jewish Times for the Reader’s Choice Awards Best of Jewish Baltimore 2020,” said MARC’s Co-Founder and Corporate Director of Marketing Zach Snitzer. “What makes this recognition even more meaningful is that the distinction comes from the readers of The Jewish Times and demonstrates the positive impact our organization has been able to have on individuals and families suffering from addiction and mental health issues within the local community.”
